WakeWarden ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our alarm clock application.

WakeWarden is designed with privacy in mind. All data is stored locally on your device:

• Alarm Settings: Times, labels, voice preferences, repeat schedules, and dismiss methods
• Profile Information: Name and email (optional, stored locally only)
• Usage Statistics: Alarm history and wake-up patterns (stored locally only)
• API Keys: Optional Text-To-Speech API key for AI voice generation (stored securely on device)

We do NOT collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers.

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Display and manage your alarms
• Schedule local notifications to wake you up
• Provide personalized wake-up messages
• Track your wake-up statistics locally

All processing happens on your device. We never access or transmit your data.

WakeWarden uses local notifications to wake you up at scheduled times. These notifications:

• Are generated and delivered entirely on your device
• Do not transmit any data to external servers
• Can be disabled in iOS Settings at any time
• Include alarm sounds stored locally on your device

We request notification permissions to provide core alarm functionality.

WakeWarden may integrate with third-party services at your option:

Text-To-Speech API: If you choose to enable AI voice generation, audio generation requests are sent to our Text-To-Speech provider according to their privacy policy. We do not store or access the content of these requests.

Use of third-party services is entirely optional. The core alarm functionality works without any third-party integrations.

• All data is stored locally using iOS secure storage mechanisms (UserDefaults and SwiftData)
• API keys are stored securely in iOS Keychain
• No data is transmitted to external servers (except when you use optional features like Text-To-Speech)
• Your data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• Deleting the app removes all stored data from your device

WakeWarden does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages and operates entirely on-device without data collection.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: View all your data within the app
• Modify: Edit alarms, profile, and settings at any time
• Delete: Remove individual alarms or delete the app to remove all data
• Export: Your data is stored in standard iOS formats

You can also disable notifications in iOS Settings without affecting local data storage.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the app, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised. Continued use of WakeWarden after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know: We do not collect personal information beyond what's stored locally on your device
• Right to Delete: Delete the app to remove all data
• Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell personal information

Since WakeWarden does not collect or transmit personal data, these rights are inherently protected.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA):

• Legal Basis: We process data based on your consent and to fulfill our contract with you
• Data Controller: No external data controller as all data is local
• Data Transfers: No data is transferred outside your device
• Right to Erasure: Delete the app to exercise your right to be forgotten

WakeWarden complies with GDPR by design through local-only data storage.

By using WakeWarden, you consent to this Privacy Policy. This consent is entirely voluntary, and you may stop using the app at any time.
